NNW Committee Spotlight: Education


 

Marlo Allen | N.N.W. Education Committee | Co-Chair | Resident

 

Marlo Allen is co-chair of the N.N.W. Education Committee and has held this position for seven years. Marlo has been a resident of North West Landing for 14 years. She enjoys working in early childhood education, childcare, and fostering youth development. She builds relationships with childcare centers through networking and community engagement, which allows her to know who lives and works in the community! Her hobbies are reading, shopping, scrapbooking, journaling, and walking around the neighborhood.


Marlo is excited about the various changes that have taken place in the N.N.W. Neighborhood over the last couple of years and hopes to continue to foster youth development and encourage educational opportunities for our youngest residents!





Irorobeje Crystal Owhoso-Maddox | N.N.W. Education Committee | Co-Chair | Stakeholder

 

Irorobeje Crystal Owhoso-Maddox serves as co-chair on the N.N.W. Education Committee. She has supported the committee as a community stakeholder for years through her position as Director of K-12 School & Community Programs at Marian University. She has a background in child advocacy, k-12 educational programs, and pre-law. 


Through community engagement, Crystal will continue to create & cultivate pathways for N.N.W. neighborhood residents across the education continuum. She enjoys writing, reading, skating, cycling, spending time with family, and supporting Indy's First Black Equity Theatre, Naptown African American Theatre Collective, Inc. (N.A.A.T.C.). Crystal is passionate about ensuring equitable access to youth camp programs and year-round programming on Marian University's historic campus.
