Nine13sports is redeveloping land at 29th & Elmira, with support from Keep Indianapolis Beautiful and the CIBA Foundation, into a new bicycle-focused, publicly accessible feature with paved and dirt paths for riding and walking. Designed to support the founding mission of Nine13sports, this facility will allow for youth programs to continue to expand and compliment the organization’s efforts at 29th & The Canal.
This new facility will allow for expanded summer camp offerings, alumni support programs, and will include open ride events throughout the year where members of the community can borrow a bike, trike, or push bike along with a helmet and other safety gear and work alongside Nine13sports staff to build confidence on wheels and create better accessibility for neighbors and guests from across the community.
Nine13sports anticipates the ribbon-cutting for the Jim Douglas Skills and Safety Park in mid-September. Please follow social media accounts @Nine13sports for the latest details and information. “
