Making A Difference, One Person At A Time

This past year during our pandemic lockdown, Sibeko Jywanza from Flanner House never stopped working for the community. Through a program where young men came to Flanner House to find new ways to improve on their own desires for better opportunities for themselves, Sibeko helped facilitate an automotive technician training program that accommodated their desires.

Here is a quote from, YES Indy, that can better sum up the success of the program and check out the link to read more about it.

"After seeing these young men put in the hard work and effort over the past week, Klein and his team offered encouragement, wisdom and importantly, a chance to join their team."

Through a recent partnership between YES Indy, Flanner House, Marian University Indianapolis and Nine13sports, several Marion County youth had the opportunity to join the YES Indy Automotive Service Technician Training as well as receive several weeks of job readiness training, education support and career navigation. As a result of their hard work, several of the participants received employment offers from local auto dealerships. Champion Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM Ed Martin Buick GMC"-YES Indy
