Aspire House Awarded 16-Tech Grant

By Terhea Furr

Aspire House Indianapolis is excited and thankful to receive two grants from the 16-Tech Community Investment Fund. During a crazy 2020, these awards were a welcomed holiday gift to the Near Northwest community. The Innovation Grant for $25,000 will help start the Aspire House Hub, providing wi-fi and other digital services from which the neighborhood will benefit.

Additionally, we will create workforce development opportunities. The $50,000 Impact Grant will be used toward the construction of the first floor. This area will include two primary community use spaces - the Aspire House Creative Studio, and the Aspire Rise Food Kitchen. We are grateful that 16-Tech is invested in the success of their neighbors by supporting projects like ours. Their commitment to ensuring access, opportunities, and revitalization of their neighboring communities align perfectly with our mission. Aspire House is ready for 2021.

We will continue to roll-up our sleeves and work and, with your support, together we will restore the Northwest Civic neighborhood to greatness. When you are around Aspire House and we are there, please stop by and say hello.
