Juneteenth 2021 was an incredible day of celebrations, reflections, and also new beginnings. A part of those new beginnings was the grand opening of the Ujamaa community bookstore located here in the Near Northwest at Flanner House.
Led by Ro Townsend, this bookstore is everything I hoped to see. From books to records to art and black-owned businesses, Ujamaa is making it happen, and it’s time that you made a stop to see what is there for you!
