These phrases prompt us to reflect on blessings, be thankful, and share with others. As the year is ending, we can appreciate what we have and our ability to give back to others, whether it is volunteering or donating to those in our community.

We can reflect on positive feelings, happiness, satisfaction, and our view on understanding our life experiences based on our relationships, spiritual beliefs, and decisions. Gratitude gives a chance to appreciate the good in our lives, no matter how large or small.

Often, the origins of our gratitude come from others. We focus on what we have and not on what we do not have.

The practice of being grateful every day leads to a greater sense of well-being. It is a time to reflect on past accomplishments, ways to improve, and past year experiences. The practice of gratitude helps our mood, self-esteem, and mental health. Keep a journal to spot positive areas of your life.

Thanksgiving, a holiday celebrated in the United States, is rooted in gratitude. We often gather with family, loved ones, or friends to reflect on blessings such as family, values, and freedom. After this holiday, we are preparing for Advent, Christmas, and Hanukkah.

Giving is an extension of gratitude. It involves acts of kindness, such as donating to those in need, showing love, and offering other forms of emotional support.

Reach out to those who might be lonely. You will be amazed at the connection through conversation.
